100%. I admire your moral clarity, Marco, thanks for this. Your parents must've done a good job raising you.

Thank you Richard. It still doesn't get me invited to any cool party, but hey, such is life.

Spiritual work requires to address the unconscious wounds and discover the comforting presence to heal them. Anyone supporting neo-fascists reveals they have never sincerely engaged in the work they talk about and rather take the scapegoat than confront their internal world.

I’ve personally seen how much you have lost - standing by your unwavering convictions Marco. To suggest that you speak out in order to gain something is laughable. Your experiences emphasise the sobering reality that expression of one’s pure Will can come with a cost.

Excellent and very courageous text! Between 2008 and 2009 I lived in Rome, and although I am not Italian, Italy has been my “country of the heart” ever since, and I love it deeply and truly. That is why the election of Giulia Meloni by popular vote was a “stab in the back” for me! In my own country, the far right elected a president and, although he was defeated in the elections by the left, the danger of a return soon is an imminent threat. Furthermore, the world is watching in disbelief at the excesses and interference of the Trump administration in the rest of the planet. In short, the far right is a very real and immediate risk, which could throw us all into absolute regression and with no way back…

I think we’re collectively well past the point of no return.

Unfortunately, you may be right, Marco... but I still bet on the reality check that the consequences of the far-right election will bring to those who voted for it (and to us too, unfortunately), that is, I bet on "learning through pain" in this case...

I finally realised that most people are completely unaware of the socio-political climate in Italy, so they could never understand my position and my perspectives. Of course, most will keep on ignoring it, but I have now done my part by giving the context.

Yes of course. Each country has complex history that isn’t taught to people in any meaningful way today.
